SB175 Summary

• Amends Oklahoma's rape statute (21 O.S. 2011, Section 1111) to add a new ninth category of rape involving church youth programs and places of worship

• Creates criminal liability when a person age 18 or older who is an employee or volunteer of a church engages in sexual intercourse with a victim ages 16-17 who participates in a church youth program or is a member of that church

• Specifies the conduct is rape regardless of whether it occurs at the youth program location or the church itself

• Removes the word "or" from item 7 and adds a semicolon to properly connect the new provision to the statute

• Effective date: November 1, 2013
