Enrolled Senate Bill 272 - Summary

• Oklahoma Health Care Authority shall conduct a feasibility study of care coordination models for persons dually eligible for Medicaid and Medicare by December 31, 2013

• Study must assess current care environment for dual eligible persons and analyze cost containment and delivery alternatives

• Study must include feasibility analysis of other state approaches with attention to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) waiver and state plan authorization requirements

• Study must incorporate stakeholder input on available care models and develop recommendations with projected expenditures or cost savings

• Act becomes effective July 1, 2013, with emergency clause for immediate implementation
