OK SB30

Amends 21 O.S. 2011, Section 1125 to modify the "zone of safety" law regarding registered sex offenders around schools, child care centers, playgrounds, and parks.

Increases the victim age threshold from under 13 years old to under 18 years old for determining who qualifies as a victim under the zone of safety restrictions.

Maintains existing restrictions prohibiting loitering within 500 feet of protected facilities for those convicted of sex offenses or crimes against children, with limited exceptions for custodial parents/guardians.

Preserves existing exemptions for parents/guardians enrolling or retrieving their children, those receiving medical treatment, and those attending recognized religious services with written permission.

Effective date: November 1, 2013.
