SB 304 Summary

• Requires individuals who were residents of the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center (Pauls Valley) or Northern Oklahoma Resource Center (Enid) on or after November 1, 2012 to be placed within 60 miles of their legal guardian's residence or the resource center where they formerly resided when transferred to alternative residential settings.

• Applies to residents transferred to alternative residential settings following the closure or depopulation of these two state facilities for developmentally disabled persons.

• Codifies the placement requirement as Section 1406.1 of Title 10 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2013.
