Presidential elector nominees must subscribe to a notarized oath stating they will vote for their party's nominees for President and Vice President, filed with the Secretary of the State Election Board at least 90 days before the General Election.

Failure to file the required oath by the deadline automatically vacates the nominee's nomination, and the state central committee of the political party must select a substitute nominee.

Refusal or failure by a Presidential Elector to vote for their party's nominees constitutes a violation of the oath, resulting in immediate forfeiture of the Elector's office.

When an Elector forfeits office due to oath violation, their vote is not recorded, a vacancy is declared, and remaining Presidential Electors present must fill the vacancy.

The act becomes effective November 1, 2013.
