SB 468 Summary

• Amends the school accountability system under 70 O.S. 2011, Section 1210.545 to require school district website posting of annual accountability reports

• Requires school districts that maintain websites to post school site report cards publicly, including district grades, performance data, and information about school improvement

• Report cards must include grades (A-F scale), student achievement data, performance explanations under federal ESEA standards, and return on investment indicators

• School grades are based on student test scores (33%), learning gains (17%), improvement of lowest-performing students (17%), and whole school improvement including graduation rates and college/career readiness (33%)

• Becomes effective July 1, 2013, with emergency declaration allowing immediate implementation upon passage and approval
