Senate Bill 549 Summary

• Amends 22 O.S. 2011, Section 1402 to expand the definition of "racketeering activity" under the Oklahoma Racketeer-Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

• Adds seven new categories of felony offenses to the racketeering definition: exploitation of elderly persons or disabled adults, computer crimes, unlawful proceeds, insurance fraud, workers' compensation fraud, terrorism and terrorist activities, and voter fraud.

• Includes activities that may be proven by conduct occurring in another state, regardless of whether the conduct is chargeable or indictable in that state.

• Effective date: November 1, 2013.
