SB 556 Summary

• Amends 57 O.S. 2011, Section 528.5 of the Oklahoma Corrections Act of 1967 to remove redundant language ("of Corrections") from the statute.

• Authorizes the Department of Corrections to reimburse employees for costs associated with obtaining or renewing a commercial driver license when required for job duties.

• Allows the Department to require employees to reimburse a prorated amount of commercial driver license costs if the employee leaves the department.

• Effective date: November 1, 2013.
