SB 591 Summary

• Amends 10 O.S. 2011, Section 401 relating to minimum standards for child care facilities licensing in Oklahoma.

• Adds the phrase "and protection" to clarify that licensed child care facilities must meet minimum standards essential for both the health and welfare of children in their care.

• Maintains the policy goals of the Oklahoma Child Care Facilities Licensing Act to ensure minimum care standards, encourage maximum standards, and develop adequate child care services through public and private cooperation.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2013.
