SB 667 Summary

• Prohibits use of electronic benefit transfer (EBT) cards containing state or federal funds (including TANF) at liquor stores, casinos/gambling establishments, adult entertainment venues with disrobing performers, and tobacco/cigar retailers

• Defines "liquor store" as retail establishments selling exclusively or primarily intoxicating liquor, excluding grocery stores that sell both liquor and groceries

• Excludes grocery stores and establishments where gambling is incidental to the principal business from the casino/gaming establishment restrictions

• Requires Oklahoma Department of Human Services to submit implementation status report by August 1, 2013, with quarterly updates to legislative leaders until fully implemented

• Effective date July 1, 2013, with emergency declaration for immediate implementation
