• Amends 43A O.S. 2011, Section 1-104 regarding Oklahoma's public policy on mental health treatment

• Changes the phrase "allow for" to "permit" the use of least restrictive alternatives in determining treatment methods for persons in need of mental health or substance abuse treatment

• Reaffirms state policy to assure adequate treatment, establish behavioral standards for dangerousness determinations, protect due process rights, and safeguard rights of hospitalized consumers

• Effective date: November 1, 2013
