SB 721 Summary

• Amends 63 O.S. 2011, Section 2-301 to change the term "distribution" to "distributing" regarding controlled dangerous substances

• Authorizes the Director to promulgate rules and regulations for registration and control of manufacture, distributing, dispensing, prescribing, administering or use of controlled dangerous substances for scientific purposes

• Requires the Director to promulgate rules for training, certification and registration of animal control officers to purchase, possess and administer controlled dangerous substances for animal control purposes under Sections 501-508 of Title 4

• Mandates the Director cooperate with federal, state or local entities with jurisdiction over animal euthanasia when creating rules

• Effective date: November 1, 2013
