SB 726 Summary

• Renames the "Oklahoma Cerebral Palsy Commission" to the "J.D. McCarty Center Commission" throughout Oklahoma statutes.

• Updates all references to the "Oklahoma Cerebral Palsy Institute," "Oklahoma Cerebral Palsy Center," and "Oklahoma Spastic Paralysis Commission" to refer to the "J.D. McCarty Center for Children with Developmental Disabilities."

• Maintains the Commission's existing authorities to establish and operate the J.D. McCarty Center, provide care and services to children and adults with developmental disabilities, accept gifts and bequests, and manage the center's revolving fund.

• Removes obsolete statutory language and updates the organizational structure while preserving funding provisions including minimum annual payments of $100,000 from the Department of Human Services.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2013.
