SB 848 Summary

• Amends 19 O.S. 2011, Sections 130.2 and 130.6 relating to the Commission on County Government Personnel Education and Training.

• Adds excise board members to the list of county officials and employees eligible for professional development training through Oklahoma State University's Cooperative Extension Service.

• Modifies expense payment structure to allow Commission expenses to be paid primarily from Office of State Auditor and Inspector appropriations, with option for supplemental funding from county training fees paid directly to Cooperative Extension Service.

• Changes statutory reference from "Sections 130.1 through 130.7" to "Section 130.1 et seq." in training program requirements.

• Effective July 1, 2013, with emergency clause allowing immediate effect upon passage and approval.
