Summary of SB875

• Amends 29 O.S. 2011, Section 4-135 to add elk to the list of species that the Department of Wildlife Conservation can issue nuisance control permits for.

• Permits allow landowners, lessees, and designated agents to control elk (along with beaver, coyote, deer, bobcat, raccoon, and crow) without limitation by statewide season regulations or bag limits.

• Permitted individuals may control specified wildlife at night to protect agricultural crops, livestock, and feed or seed materials used in agricultural production.

• Effective date: November 1, 2013.
