Summary of SB912

• Amends 17 O.S. 2011, Section 40 to create a director position over the Transportation Division's motor carrier enforcement officers and point of entry officers within the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.

• Director qualifications include at least 10 years of criminal law enforcement experience, at least 3 years of experience as a supervisor of motor vehicle enforcement, and Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training certification.

• Removes motor carrier enforcement officers created by Section 172 of Title 47 and point of entry stations from the general Transportation Division operations.

• Requires all motor carrier enforcement officers and point of entry officers to be certified with the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training.

• Effective date is November 1, 2013.
