Department of Public Safety authorized to issue provisional driver licenses to persons with suspended or revoked licenses, except for certain DUI-related suspensions or revocations under Sections 6-205(1), 6-205(2), 753, or 754

Provisional license allows driving between residence and employment, potential employment, educational institutions, child's school or day care, places of worship, or court-ordered treatment programs

Holders of provisional licenses must pay minimum of $25 per month toward outstanding driver license reinstatement fees and maintain proof of insurance and enrollment or employment

Any violation of law while holding a provisional license results in revocation of the provisional license and permanent ineligibility for future provisional license applications
