• Recognizes the importance of breast cancer awareness and education for all men and women in Oklahoma.

• Designates April 30, 2013, as the 5th Annual "Breast Cancer Awareness Day" in the State of Oklahoma.

• Dedicates the awareness day to the memory of Zora Brown, a trustee of the American Association for Cancer Research Foundation who died from ovarian cancer on March 3, 2013, at age 63.

• Directs distribution of a copy of the resolution to the family of Zora Brown.

• Acknowledges that breast cancer is the most common cancer among American women (one in eight diagnosed in lifetime) and the second leading cause of cancer deaths in women, with approximately 40,000 projected deaths annually and 232,000 new invasive cases expected in 2013.
