Honors Stan Barton for nearly 40 years of service with the YMCA, including roles as District Executive Director, Group Vice President, and Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Greater Oklahoma City YMCA starting in 1995

Recognizes Barton's leadership of the Oklahoma YMCA Youth in Government program since becoming State Director in 2001, which he continued even after retiring from other YMCA duties in 2005

Credits Barton with significantly expanding the Youth in Government program, growing participation to over 280 students attending the 2013 state conference through fundraising and club development efforts

Names the Oklahoma YMCA Youth in Government Freshmen House (a new legislative body that first convened February 8, 2013, with 34 members) as the "Barton House" in his honor

Directs that a copy of this resolution be distributed to Stan Barton
