Commends the Cherokee Nation for its spirit of survival and perseverance in providing a legacy for future generations through the accomplishments of its past and present leaders.

Recognizes the Cherokee Nation's commitment to the State of Oklahoma in providing services and economic benefits over more than 160 years.

Acknowledges the Cherokee Nation as the largest federally recognized tribe in Oklahoma and in the nation.

Directs distribution of a copy of the resolution to Cherokee Principal Chief Bill John Baker.

Designates May 14, 2013 as Cherokee Nation Legislative Day in Oklahoma, recognizing the Cherokee Nation at the State Capitol.
