ENGR. H. B. NO. 1412 Summary

• Defines "political subdivisions" to include state, county, city, town, municipality, district, public local entity, public-private partnership or any other public entity.

• Prohibits the state and political subdivisions from adopting or implementing policy recommendations that infringe on or restrict private property rights without due process, particularly those originating from or traceable to United Nations Agenda 21/Sustainable Development.

• Bars the state and political subdivisions from entering into agreements, expending funds, receiving funds, contracting services, or providing financial aid to nongovernmental or intergovernmental organizations accredited or enlisted by the United Nations.

• Effective date set for November 1, 2013.
