HB 1761 Summary

• Requires the Oklahoma Corporation Commission to mandate that commercial injection or disposal wells be equipped with meters to record the volume of fluids disposed of in the well

• Mandates operators of commercial injection or disposal wells maintain and keep available upon request a log of all loads of deleterious substances disposed at the well for at least five years

• Log records must include the amount, source location, and operator or owner identification of the deleterious substance, plus chain of custody evidence from the hauler

• Effective date: November 1, 2013
