• Creates new law codified as Oklahoma Statutes Title 59, Section 353.13B regarding electronic prescription transmission requirements

• Requires electronic prescription systems to display patient's current medication list, medication history, available outpatient medications, and both in-network and out-of-network pharmacy options for physician review

• Mandates electronic prior authorization and step therapy protocol requests and approvals be processed within 48 hours of prescription receipt

• Prohibits advertising, instant messaging, pop-ups, and other economic incentives on prescribing platforms that could influence physician decisions, except for generic medication equivalency information

• Directs State Board of Pharmacy to promulgate rules governing the electronic prior authorization process; effective date November 1, 2013
