• Amends 76 O.S. 2011, Section 33 to expand civil immunity protections for volunteers providing services, goods, or shelter during emergencies.

• Grants immunity from liability to persons who voluntarily provide emergency assistance without compensation, provided they act in good faith and the damage was not caused by willful or wanton negligence.

• Adds tornado to the list of catastrophic acts of nature qualifying for emergency protections, alongside fire, flood, earthquake, wind, storm, and wave action.

• Expands immunity eligibility to cover assistance requested by federal government or political subdivisions thereof, not just state government.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2014, and applies to all civil actions filed on or after that date.
