HB 2474 Summary

• Requires state agencies (except higher education institutions) to file publications electronically with the Oklahoma Department of Libraries in compliance with Title 62 requirements

• Allows maximum of 25 physical copies to be deposited instead of electronic filing only if the document cannot be filed electronically, with explanation required

• Directs the Director of the Department of Libraries to publish twice yearly on documents.ok.gov a numeric compilation of agency submissions and a featured listing of agencies that fail to comply

• Establishes enforcement procedure: Director issues written notice of non-compliance, agency has 30 days to comply, and further failure is reported to legislative leadership and Attorney General who may pursue mandamus proceedings

• Becomes effective July 1, 2014, with emergency clause declaring immediate necessity
