• Amends 21 O.S. 2011, Section 1289.6 to expand firearm and knife carrying provisions in Oklahoma

• Permits carrying of knives under the same conditions as firearms, including hunting, sports competitions, self-defense, and other legitimate purposes

• Adds protection prohibiting law enforcement from disarming or physically restraining individuals carrying unconcealed or concealed weapons on property they own, lease, or legally control, absent reasonable suspicion of other criminal activity

• Maintains existing conditions for carrying unloaded firearms while traveling to or from specified locations such as residences, repair shops, and hunting areas

• Becomes effective November 1, 2014
