Bill Summary: HB 2492

• Amends 70 O.S. 2011, Section 1210.541 to regulate how the Commission for Educational Quality and Accountability sets student performance level cut scores on state assessments

• Prohibits the Commission from implementing any cut score changes in the same academic year the change is approved, requiring at least one year advance notice

• Requires the Commission to establish panels of professional educators and school administrators to review and revise performance level descriptors for each subject and grade level

• Maintains four performance levels for student assessment: Advanced, Proficient, Limited Knowledge, and Unsatisfactory
