HB2529 Summary

• Each legislative measure introduced in the Oklahoma House and Senate must be analyzed to determine possible fiscal impact from constitutional challenges under federal or state law.

• The analysis shall indicate whether the measure creates litigation risk but is not required to provide a specific cost estimate for such litigation.

• The analysis must be attached to the measure after introduction or made part of the electronic version in the chamber's official records, or both.

• The analysis shall be publicly available on the applicable chamber's website at least 24 hours before committee consideration and at least 24 hours before Third or Fourth Reading floor consideration.

• The act becomes effective November 1, 2014.
