HB 2545 Summary

• Modifies the phased implementation schedule for the Oklahoma Teacher and Leader Effectiveness (TLE) evaluation system, pushing full implementation to the 2016-2017 school year instead of 2015-2016.

• Removes quantitative assessment components (student academic growth and other academic measurements) from the TLE system, directing the State Board of Education to revise the system by December 31, 2014 to eliminate these components.

• Changes the evaluation rating basis to 100% qualitative components for the 2015-2016 school year and requires the State Board to adopt alternative assessment percentages for first-year teachers.
