HB 2570 Summary

• Amends 47 O.S. 2011, Section 1113 to direct the Oklahoma Tax Commission to include a "veteran" designation on monthly license plate decals for honorably discharged veterans of the United States Armed Forces

• Establishes eligibility standards requiring veterans to present proof of military service through one of four documents: valid Uniformed Services Identity Card, DD214/DD215 discharge forms, Oklahoma Army/Air National Guard NGB Form 22, or Department of Veterans Affairs photo identification

• Directs the Tax Commission to design decals that incorporate county abbreviations and the "veteran" designation in a manner that permits easy identification of both elements

• Becomes effective November 1, 2014
