• Maintains handgun license validity periods of 5 or 10 years, with 10-year licenses costing double the standard fee.

• Requires applicants to complete firearms safety training, provide photographs and fingerprints, and submit to background checks including criminal history and mental health records review.

• Effective November 1, 2014.
