HB2595 Bill Summary

• Amends the Oklahoma Milk and Milk Products Act (2 O.S. 2011, Section 7-414) to allow advertising of incidental raw milk sales directly to consumers at farms where the milk is produced.

• Permits advertising of incidental sales of goat milk, defined as sales not exceeding an average of 100 gallons per month.

• Allows farmers and producers to make cheese using milk or cream produced on their own farms without restriction.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2014.
