HB 2805 Summary

• Exempts firearms, firearm accessories, and ammunition manufactured and kept within Oklahoma from federal law, regulation, and registration requirements under the Interstate Commerce Clause.

• Requires firearms manufactured in Oklahoma under this law to be clearly marked "Made in Oklahoma" on a central metallic part such as the receiver or frame.

• Declares federal firearms laws that violate the Second Amendment null and void in Oklahoma, and prohibits state officials and firearm dealers from enforcing such federal regulations.

• Makes it a felony (punishable by 1+ years imprisonment and/or $5,000 fine) for federal agents to attempt enforcing federal firearms law on Oklahoma-manufactured firearms that remain within state borders.

• Includes exceptions for non-portable firearms, explosive ammunition, and multi-projectile firearms (except shotguns), and restricts physicians from inquiring about firearm ownership.
