HB 2924 Summary

• Extends the duration of driving privilege suspension from one (1) year to two (2) years following an accident when security is not deposited

• Modifies conditions for using deposited security, allowing it to be applied to settlement agreements or court judgments related to the accident

• Extends the time period for filing legal action from one (1) year to two (2) years after security deposit to claim damages from the accident

• Amends 47 O.S. 2011, Sections 7-212 and 7-217 to implement these changes to motor vehicle accident security requirements

• Becomes effective November 1, 2014
