HB 3190 Summary

• Extends the sunset date for the Oklahoma Accountancy Board from July 1, 2014 to July 1, 2020 through amendment of 59 O.S. 2011, Section 15.2

• Re-creates the Oklahoma Accountancy Board to continue administering and enforcing the Oklahoma Accountancy Act with a seven-member composition

• Board composition includes six registrant members (5 certified public accountants and 4 public accountants) serving five-year terms with no eligibility for reappointment after two successive complete terms, plus one public member serving at the Governor's pleasure

• Members are appointed by the Governor with Senate confirmation and must have professional or practical experience in accounting services and financial matters

• Board members from the accounting professions are recommended through lists submitted by the Oklahoma Society of Public Accountants and Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants
