Enrolled Senate Bill No. 101 - Summary

• Creates a Task Force on State Services for Adults with Asperger's Syndrome and Autism to continue until December 31, 2013, subject to Oklahoma Sunset Law.

• Task Force membership consists of six members: the Director of the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, State Commissioner of Health, Director of the Department of Human Services, Director of the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, and two parent/guardian representatives appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and Speaker of the House.

• Appointments shall be made by August 1, 2013; members serve at the pleasure of their appointing authority with vacancies filled by the original appointing authority.

• Task Force shall meet monthly, with a majority of members constituting a quorum; members receive no compensation but are reimbursed for actual and necessary travel expenses through the State Travel Reimbursement Act.

• Task Force shall study the needs of adults with Asperger's Syndrome and Autism in Oklahoma, current available services, and make specific recommendations to the Legislature regarding needed services; the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services shall provide staff assistance; effective July 1, 2013, with emergency declaration.
