SB 1075 Summary

• Amends 59 O.S. 2011, Section 1750.6 regarding private security guard and private investigator licensing under the Oklahoma Security Guard and Private Investigator Act.

• Removes the "Beginning November 1, 2010" effective date restriction and makes license application fee provisions apply immediately: $50 for unarmed security guard/investigator licenses, $100 for armed licenses, $7 for special event licenses, and $300 for agency licenses.

• Modifies fee distribution by removing provisions for apportioning specified amounts to the CLEET Private Security Revolving Fund and instead deposits prevailing fingerprint processing fees to the OSBI Revolving Fund with remaining fees going to General Revenue.

• Maintains existing license validity periods (3 years for individual licenses, 5 years for agency licenses) and reinstatement/late fee provisions.

• Declares an emergency effective date for immediate implementation upon passage and approval, with a standard effective date of July 1, 2014.
