Amends Oklahoma statute 5 O.S. 2011, Section 6 to modify attorneys' lien procedures and make language gender neutral.

Attorneys must file a Notice of Attorney's Lien with the county clerk in the county where real estate is situated and refile every 5 years before expiration.

Notice of Attorney's Lien must contain the case style, court, case number, attorney's name, address, phone number, and complete legal description of the property.

Attorneys with existing liens prior to the effective date have one (1) year to file a Notice of Attorney's Lien in compliance with the new requirements.

Actions to enforce an attorney's lien against real property must be commenced within 10 years of recordation with the county clerk, with the 10-year period for pre-existing liens running from the effective date regardless of when notice was recorded.
