SB 1366 Summary

• State Department of Health must certify acute care hospitals as "Heart Attack Receiving Center" or "Heart Attack Referring Center" if accredited by Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care or other nationally recognized organization

• Termination of national accreditation automatically results in termination of state certification

• Department must post accreditation information on its website and assist accredited hospitals in developing coordinated care agreements with other healthcare facilities

• State Board of Health required to promulgate and adopt rules to implement provisions

• Effective date: November 1, 2014
