SB1394 Summary

• Amends 68 O.S. 2011, Section 1627 to expand restrictions on where fireworks may be discharged or ignited

• Extends the 500-foot fireworks prohibition to include four additional categories of land: land with flammable crop residue used for conservation, land required to maintain residue for USDA Natural Resources Conservation Services compliance, land with flammable crop residue used for wildlife habitat enhancement, and church/hospital/asylum/unharvested crop/public school/fireworks storage areas

• Maintains existing prohibitions against selling fireworks to children under 12 without adult supervision and against discharging fireworks from or at motor vehicles

• Becomes effective November 1, 2014
