SB 1444 Summary

• Amends 57 O.S. 2011, Section 584 regarding sex offender registration requirements with the Department of Corrections and local law enforcement.

• Requires sex offenders to provide a photograph upon registration and mandates updated photographs if the existing photo is more than one year old or if the date the photo was taken cannot be determined.

• Requires offenders with out-of-state convictions to provide certified copies of their judgment and sentencing reports to local law enforcement within 60 days of registration or relocation.

• Maintains existing registration requirements including personal information, physical address, employment/school enrollment status, DNA testing (at $15 fee), and electronic communication identities.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2014.
