SB 1642 Summary

• Requires the Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) to establish and maintain an online, searchable, sortable, and downloadable database of all state contracts for purchases and services.

• Database must include contract descriptions, contracting agency names, contractor and subcontractor names, contract dates, annual amounts paid over past five fiscal years, projected future costs, and total contract values by funding source.

• Database must include a list of private contractor employees for each contract, showing full-time equivalent positions, hourly wage rates, and number of employees for current and previous fiscal years.

• Information shall be compiled into an annual Service Contractor Expenditure Budget accompanying the Governor's annual budget to detail total state spending on service contracts and purchases.

• Effective date: November 1, 2014.
