• Extends prosecution timeline for human trafficking offenses to match other serious crimes against children, including rape, sodomy, child abuse, and child trafficking.

• Corrects outdated statutory cross-reference from Section 1462 to Section 1461 of Title 21 regarding embezzlement crimes.

• Allows prosecution to proceed at any time if the victim notifies law enforcement within 12 years and the offender is identified through DNA evidence, with charges filed within 3 years of identification.

• Effective date: November 1, 2014.
