Senate Bill 1699 - Social Worker Licensing Requirements

• Amends Oklahoma's Social Worker's Licensing Act to modify definitions and update board structure for the State Board of Licensed Social Workers (rebranded as State Board of Social Work).

• Changes the sunset date for the Board from July 1, 2014 to July 1, 2018 to align with Oklahoma Sunset Law requirements.

• Requires applicants seeking postgraduate supervision for LSW, LSW-ADM, or LCSW licenses to first hold either LSWA or LMSW licensure status before board approval of supervision.

• Establishes new requirements for provisional license holders who fail exams, including mandatory board-approved supervision, additional 4000 hours of supervised practice after repeated failures, and permanent loss of eligibility after five years of failed attempts.

• Effective November 1, 2014.
