Amends 21 O.S. 2011, Section 1280.1 to eliminate the exception that previously allowed handguns to be carried on school property by individuals with a valid handgun license under the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act

Maintains existing exceptions for firearms in vehicles used for hunting/fishing purposes and weapons used in approved training courses, hunter education programs, or recognized firearms sports events at schools

Retains exceptions for peace officers and other persons authorized by law to carry weapons in their official duties

Removes the provision that permitted concealed or unconcealed weapons on private school property if the private school's governing entity had adopted an authorizing policy

Becomes effective November 1, 2014
