SB 1787 Summary

• Amends 26 O.S. 2011, Section 16-107 regarding bribes for withdrawal of candidacy in elections

• Adds a definition provision stating that "candidate" shall be defined in the same manner as defined in the Rules of the Ethics Commission

• Maintains existing felony offense for offering or giving anything of value to induce another person to withdraw from a political contest as a candidate or nominee

• Effective date: January 1, 2015
