SB 1829 Summary

• Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education shall adopt a policy granting resident tuition eligibility to students who have received full scholarships from Air Force Reserve Officers' Training Corps, Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps, or Navy/Marines Reserve Officers' Training Corps.

• Eligible students must satisfy admission standards for Oklahoma State System of Higher Education institutions and present valid documentation of receipt of a full ROTC scholarship to the institution.

• Students who are only participants in ROTC programs or who received only partial ROTC scholarships are ineligible for resident tuition under this policy.

• Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education shall promulgate rules to implement the provisions of this section.

• Effective date is July 1, 2014, with emergency clause for immediate implementation upon passage and approval.
