Physicians performing abortions must have admitting privileges at a general medical surgical hospital within 30 miles and must remain on premises until all patients are stable and ready to leave recovery

Pre-abortion medical screening required including medical history, physical examination, anemia test, Rh typing, and ultrasound evaluation with gestational age estimate documented in patient records

Facilities must report patient injuries to the State Board of Health within 10 days and patient deaths by the next business day, with incident reports filed to all appropriate licensing boards

Violations constitute a felony, with civil penalties up to $25,000 per day; effective date November 1, 2014
