SB 1884 Summary

• Amends the Oklahoma Combined Pesticide Law by changing references from "this subarticle" to "the Combined Pesticide Law" or "this section" throughout the statute for consistency and clarity.

• Modifies Section 3-84 to narrow the Board's rulemaking authority by removing language authorizing rules for "collection and examination of any samples necessary to evaluate the quality, quantity, or effectiveness of pesticides or devices."

• Deletes all soil residue threshold requirements for specific termiticide products (Torpedo, Tribute, Prevail FT, Demon TC, Dragnet FT, Dursban TC, and Premise) in both pre-construction and post-construction treatments.

• Removes uniformity requirements between Oklahoma and "the several states" in favor of uniformity between Oklahoma and federal standards under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2014.
