SB 1893 Summary

• Amends 12 O.S. Section 3226 to expand discovery methods to include "authorizations for release of records" and court-ordered discovery upon showing good cause

• Requires parties claiming physical or mental injury to provide releases or authorizations allowing other parties to obtain medical records and bills, and employment and scholastic records

• Modifies initial disclosure requirements by specifying that parties must provide computation of damages along with supporting documents in actions where injury is claimed

• Becomes effective November 1, 2014
